These terms are a contract between you and Ingram Park LLC when you use the ChoreLocks app or website. Short version: be a parent or use it with your parent, pay for what you subscribe to, don't abuse it, and understand that safety features help but don't replace real-world supervision.
Households are created and managed by adults (18+). Children may use ChoreLocks only within a household set up by their parent or legal guardian, who consents to their child's use and to the collection described in our Privacy Policy. By adding a child to your household, you confirm you're their parent or legal guardian.
ChoreLocks is not an emergency service. Location tracking, arrival alerts, battery alarms, and the SOS button depend on things outside our control: the child's device being on and charged, having cell or Wi-Fi signal, and having location permissions enabled. iOS also limits what any app can do — for example, no app can prevent a phone from being turned off. The SOS button shares location with your family and opens your phone's dialer with 911 ready; placing the call requires a tap, per Apple's rules.
Never rely on ChoreLocks as your only safety measure. In an emergency, call 911 (or your local emergency number) directly.
Photos, messages, chore names, and other content your family creates belong to you. You give us permission to store and process them only to run the service (see the Privacy Policy). We don't use your family's content for advertising or AI training.
The ChoreLocks app, name, logo, and design are owned by Ingram Park LLC. We give you a personal, non-transferable license to use the app for your family. Don't copy, resell, or reverse-engineer it.
AI photo verification is a convenience, not a judge. It can be wrong in both directions — approving an unfinished chore or rejecting a finished one. Parents always have the final say and can override any AI decision in the app.
ChoreLocks is provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of uninterrupted service, error-free operation, and fitness for a particular purpose, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including any harm arising from reliance on location or safety features (see Section 2). Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
You can stop using ChoreLocks and delete your household at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. We may discontinue features or the service with reasonable notice; if you've prepaid for time you don't receive, Apple's refund process applies.
If we make meaningful changes, we'll notify you in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use ChoreLocks after that means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in the State of New York.
